The KENNAMETAL 3580876 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. With 5 flutes and a high helix spiral geometry, this end mill balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality across both roughing and finishing operations. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation resistance, making it well suited for dry or near-dry cutting conditions in hard and abrasive workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It belongs to KENNAMETAL Series UCDE, a short-length, straight-shank platform built for rigidity in close-tolerance work. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring on CNC machining centers where tool deflection must be minimized. It is compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Suitable for primary workpiece materials coded P, M, K, S, and H: steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the shank in a hydraulic or collet-style toolholder rated for the 3/4-inch shank diameter, confirming runout is within tolerance before cutting. Because this is a non-centercutting end mill, do not attempt direct plunge entry — use a ramped or helical entry path. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut.
