The KENNAMETAL 2658219 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. It carries a TiAlN coating and a 140-degree split point geometry with web thinning, which improves penetration and reduces thrust in hard materials. The overall length is 4.0551 inches with a flute length of 2.0866 inches, giving it standard jobber proportions suited to CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual operations. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed, deep-hole applications where chip evacuation and heat control are critical. This bit is built to DIN 6537L specification.
This drill is intended for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in metalworking and fabrication environments. It is commonly used in machine shops, production floor operations, and maintenance settings where consistent hole quality and tool life are required. The right-hand spiral flute and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. It is appropriate for both through-hole and blind-hole applications within its rated maximum drilling depth of 1.9290 inches.
Rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The straight cylindrical shank diameter of 0.3937 inches fits standard drill chucks and ER collet systems. Conforms to DIN 6537L specification for jobber-length solid carbide drills.
Installation is performed by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC machining centers or manual drill presses. Ensure the machine spindle and coolant system are fully shut down before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully and uniformly in the chuck or collet holder to the recommended grip length before tightening. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant pressure when putting this drill into service.
