The KENNAMETAL 2624199 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built around a 1-inch cutting diameter and a 1-inch Weldon flat shank, this toolholder accepts EC14 and EP14 series inserts secured by screw clamping. It features a 0-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder profiles and supports through-coolant delivery via a 0.25-inch coolant hole. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.58 inches and a maximum spindle speed of 39,200 RPM, this tool is suited for high-speed shoulder milling applications across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is installed and operated by CNC machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and vertical mills where square-shoulder profiling, slotting, and face milling are required. The 3-flute, 3-insert configuration balances cutting performance with chip evacuation. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and reduced pullout risk under high feed conditions. Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Confirm through-coolant supply lines are clear and pressure is within machine specifications before engaging the coolant system.
