The KENNAMETAL 2509326 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Manufactured to ISO code EDPT180508PDSRGD and ANSI code EP1808S, this right-hand, single-sided parallelogram insert carries a KC725M grade with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. It measures 0.857 inches in length, 0.429 inches in inscribed circle diameter, and 0.217 inches thick, with a 1/32-inch corner radius (0.031 inches). The positive rake geometry and chamfered, honed cutting edges reduce cutting forces and extend tool life when working in steel, stainless steel, and superalloy and titanium applications.
This insert is engineered for use in the KENNAMETAL Mill 1-18 cutter series, making it suitable for face milling and shoulder milling operations in CNC machining centers and milling machines found in aerospace, general manufacturing, and precision job-shop environments. The GD chip breaker geometry promotes reliable chip control across a range of depths of cut and feed rates when machining steel, stainless steel, and superalloys including titanium. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators. The screw-clamping holding method ensures repeatable seating with each index or replacement.
Designed for use with the KENNAMETAL Mill 1-18 cutter series. Insert size code 1808 with ISO designation EDPT180508PDSRGD and ANSI code EP1808S. Suitable for machining steel (P), stainless steel (M), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder seat. Inspect the pocket seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
