The KENNAMETAL 2499884 is a replaceable drill tip engineered for use with KSEM-series modular drill bodies. It features a 1.3440-inch cutting diameter, a 140-degree point angle, and a solid carbide construction with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The KC7315 fine-grain carbide grade delivers wear resistance and edge stability in demanding metal-cutting environments. Two helical flutes and through-coolant capability support chip evacuation and thermal management during deep-hole and high-feed drilling operations. This tip is installed by machinists and tool-room technicians working with CNC machining centers and drilling systems.

This replaceable tip is suited for production drilling in steel and cast iron workpieces, covering ISO material groups P and K. The HPG insert geometry supports applications including standard drilling, inclined-entry drilling, and stacked-plate drilling. Through-coolant delivery is compatible with MQL (minimum quantity lubrication) as well as conventional flood coolant systems. The clamp-style insert holding method and seat size 9 interface are standard to the KSEM modular drill platform, allowing fast tip changes without removing the drill body from the spindle.
