The KENNAMETAL 2499765 is a replaceable-tip drill from the KSEM series, designed for high-productivity drilling in steel and cast iron workpieces. The tip is manufactured from solid carbide in the KC7315 grade with a fine grain structure and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, delivering strong wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The drill features a 140-degree point angle, an HPG insert geometry, and a helical flute design with two flutes and two margins. Cutting diameter is 18.5mm (0.7283 inches). Through-spindle coolant is supported, including MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication), making this drill well suited for controlled-environment machining cells.
This replaceable-tip drill is intended for production drilling applications in ferrous materials, specifically steel (ISO material group P) and cast iron (ISO material group K). It is appropriate for standard through-drilling, inclined exit conditions, and stacked-plate configurations.
