The KENNAMETAL 2451579 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for indexable milling operations in demanding metalworking applications. Manufactured to the ISO designation EDCT180512PDERGD and ANSI code EC1812E, this insert features a parallelogram shape (EDCT series) with a positive rake geometry and a GD chip breaker. The TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at the cutting edge. The honed cutting edge style reduces microchipping during interrupted cuts.
