The KENNAMETAL 2435302 is a DNMG432P-style solid carbide turning insert in the KC5010 grade, coated with TiAlN via PVD process. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a negative rake and neutral hand orientation, making it suited for stable, high-wear-resistance cutting across multiple workpiece materials. The insert measures 15.5 mm in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius. It carries a P chip breaker designation, targeting roughing and medium machining operations. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die setters, and CNC turning center operators install this insert in compatible KENLOC-style toolholders.
This insert is designed for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and aluminum. Its KC5010 grade delivers high wear resistance to moderate wear resistance with toughness across P, M, K, N, and S workpiece material classifications. The KENLOC series is commonly found in high-production and job-shop CNC turning environments where insert consistency and repeatability are critical. Maximum depth of cut is 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm).
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders accepting DNMG432 or ISO DNMG150408 inserts. Compatible with turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Fits toolholders using clamp or pin insert holding methods with a negative side clearance and M tolerance class.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the insert. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for wear or debris before installing a new insert to ensure proper contact and cutting-edge indexing.
