This insert is designed for screw-on toolholders and features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation and a positive rake angle of 5 degrees. The inscribed circle measures 7/32 inches (0.2188 inches), the corner radius is 1/64 inches (0.0156 inches), and the insert length is 5.65 mm. With two cutting edges and an 11-degree relief angle, the 2425779 is built for precision turning in demanding material categories. This insert is engineered primarily for turning stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium - material categories coded M and S.
