The KENNAMETAL 2393192 is a solid carbide milling insert with an ADKT parallelogram style profile and ISO designation ADKT103504PDFRLC. It carries a KC410M manufacturer grade and features a Titanium Diboride (TiB2) coating applied via PVD process, which is well suited for non-ferrous metal cutting applications. The insert measures 0.3937 inches in length, 0.2638 inches wide, and 0.1378 inches thick, with a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch). It is right-hand oriented and held in the cutter body via a screw-lock method. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians typically spec and install this insert in production milling operations.
This insert is designed for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper alloys, and similar materials where the TiB2 PVD coating provides low friction and resistance to built-up edge. The ADKT series insert style fits compatible milling cutter bodies that accept the ADKT103504 geometry with a 15-degree relief angle, 7-degree rake angle, and an 85-degree included angle. The LC chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation in high-speed face and shoulder milling passes on non-ferrous workpieces. This insert is sold individually but requires a minimum order of 5 units per transaction.
Designed for use in ADKT-series milling cutter bodies that accept inserts with ISO code ADKT103504PDFRLC geometry. Confirm cutter body pocket specifications match the insert size code 16221 and screw-lock holding method before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle completely before removing or seating inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer specification — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can fracture under excessive clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
