The KENNAMETAL 2383584 is a solid carbide milling insert manufactured to the SPCT10T304PPERLD2 ISO designation, designed for use in indexable milling tool bodies requiring a square insert profile. It carries a manufacturer grade of KC725M and features a multilayer PVD coating sequence of TiN, AlTiN, and TiN, a combination engineered to extend tool life when cutting difficult materials. The insert has a 90-degree included angle, a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (0.40 mm), and a thickness of 0.1563 inches (5/32 inches). It is held in the cutter body by a screw and is configured for right-hand cutting. Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine in a full lockout-tagout state per applicable facility and OSHA procedures. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamp screw; do not exceed the torque specification listed in the cutter body documentation. Inspect the insert pocket seat and screw threads for damage or debris before seating a new insert. Verify runout and edge condition after indexing before returning the tool to service.
