The KENNAMETAL 2267546 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precise 90-degree shoulder milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Carrying the ISO designation M1D100E1802W100L175, this tool accepts two EC18 or EP18 series inserts secured by screws, delivering a maximum depth of cut of 0.71 inches (18.03 mm). The 1-inch Weldon flat shank provides positive, non-slip drive in standard end mill holders. Built-in through-coolant capability feeds coolant directly to the cutting zone, extending insert life and improving chip evacuation at high feed rates. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder profiling, slotting, and step-milling operations on machining centers in production and job-shop environments. The 2-flute, 0-degree lead angle geometry produces a true 90-degree wall on the workpiece without secondary finishing passes in many applications. The tool is compatible with through-coolant spindles and standard coolant-through tool holders. At a maximum rated speed of 37,000 RPM, it supports high-speed machining strategies on modern CNC equipment. The overall assembly length of 102.36 mm keeps the tool compact for close-tolerance setups.
Designed for use with EC18 and EP18 series indexable inserts. Compatible with standard 1-inch Weldon flat end mill holders and through-coolant tooling systems.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle and all coolant lines are fully de-energized and depressurized before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a matched-bore holder using the set screw against the flat to prevent axial pullout under cutting loads. Verify insert seating and screw torque per the insert manufacturer guidelines before initiating a cut.
