The KENNAMETAL 2267539 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for high-efficiency milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built on a Mill 1-18 toolholder platform, it accepts EC18 and EP18 series inserts secured by screw clamping. The cutter features a 1-1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0 degree lead angle for true 90-degree shoulder profiles, and a 10 inch overall length. With 3 insert pockets and a maximum spindle speed of 29,020 RPM, this tool is suited for productive square-shoulder and face milling operations across a range of workpiece materials. It is installed and run by CNC machinists and tool and die professionals.
This end mill is used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where square-shoulder profiles, step milling, and face milling are required. The 1-1/4 inch cylindrical shank provides a standard interface for direct chuck or collet mounting. With a head length of 4.25 inches and a maximum depth of cut of 0.71 inches per pass, it handles moderate-depth shoulder milling in production and job shop settings. The absence of coolant-through capability makes it best suited for operations where external flood or mist coolant delivery is standard practice.
Compatible with EC18 and EP18 series indexable inserts. Designed for use with the Mill 1-18 toolholder system. ISO number M1D150E1803C125L1000 can be used to verify insert and toolholder compatibility across supplier catalogs.
This tool is installed by qualified CNC machinists and machining center operators. Verify that the toolholder bore and retention method match the 1-1/4 inch cylindrical shank before mounting. De-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts or performing any setup work. Torque insert screws to the insert manufacturer specification using the correct Torx or hex key driver — do not overtighten or substitute fasteners.
