The KENNAMETAL 2238566 is a replaceable-tip drill body in the KSEM series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in metalworking and machining operations. The body accepts KSEM1188 inserts at insert seat size 8, covering a drill diameter range of 30.16 to 30.66 mm (1.1874 to 1.2071 inches). Maximum drill depth reaches 90.49 mm (3.56 inches), representing a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 31.75 mm in diameter and 82.55 mm in length. Through-coolant capability is built in, with coolant holes at 5.00 mm diameter, supporting chip evacuation and tool-life management in production environments. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians.
