The KENNAMETAL 2203834 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding production and maintenance applications. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 140-degree point angle with web thinning for fast engagement and reduced thrust load at entry. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an overall length of 4.0551 inches and a flute length of 2.4016 inches, it handles drilling depths up to 1.929 inches. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed, deep-hole applications where chip evacuation and heat management are critical.
This drill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and automated production equipment where consistent dimensional accuracy is required. It is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks without adapters. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die shops, industrial maintenance professionals, and fabrication facilities running tight-tolerance work.
Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Designed for use in CNC and manual drilling applications within the 8.00 mm to 9.00 mm drill bit size range per DIN specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before drilling to protect the carbide substrate from fracture. Activate coolant flow before engaging the workpiece when using the through-coolant feature.
