The KENNAMETAL 1913586 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It measures 9.30 mm in diameter with an overall length of 103.00 mm (4.0551 inches) and a flute length of 61.00 mm (2.4016 inches). The 140-degree split point geometry combined with a TiAlN coating supports extended tool life and reduced heat buildup at the cutting edge. A web-thinned, parallel-web design reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation. This drill is sized for production machining environments and is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC or manual drilling operations.
The 1913586 is suited for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces across general metalworking, aerospace component production, and precision machining applications. It conforms to DIN 6537L specification, making it interchangeable with other DIN-standard jobber drills in the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm size range. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, making it appropriate for deeper holes and higher feed rates where external flood coolant is insufficient. Maximum drilling depth is 49.00 mm (1.9291 inches).
Designed as a DIN 6537L-specification jobber drill in the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm size range, suitable for use with standard straight-shank drill chucks, ER collet systems, and hydraulic tool holders accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous alloys.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as excessive runout accelerates carbide wear and increases fracture risk. Coolant-through capability requires a machine spindle with internal coolant supply; confirm system pressure is compatible before use. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in setups with excessive vibration or interrupted cuts without verifying grade suitability.
