The KENNAMETAL 1913581 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in a wide range of industrial materials. It carries a TiAlN coating and a 140-degree point angle optimized for aggressive penetration and reduced walking on entry. The overall length is 3.58 inches (91.00 mm), with a flute length of 2.09 inches (53.00 mm) and a maximum drilling depth of 1.69 inches (43.00 mm). The web-thinned, standard point geometry reduces thrust load at entry. This drill is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
The 1913581 is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537L specification and is built for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses where coolant-through capability is required. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard toolholders and collet chucks sized for an 8 mm (0.3150 inch) shank. It is a practical choice for high-volume production runs where tool life and hole-size consistency are priorities.
Designed as a DIN 6537L jobber drill for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. Fits standard 8 mm collet chucks and toolholders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Confirm the toolholder and collet are clean and within specification before seating the shank. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that the machine spindle coolant circuit is active and set to the pressure appropriate for the application before initiating the cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 43.00 mm in a single pass without a peck-drilling cycle to clear chips.
