The KENNAMETAL 1913579 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial applications. It measures 7.40 mm (0.2913 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 91.00 mm (3.583 inches) and a flute length of 53.00 mm (2.087 inches). The 140-degree split point geometry with web thinning reduces entry thrust and improves chip evacuation. A TiAlN coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. The straight cylindrical shank measures 8 mm in diameter and 36 mm in length, and the drill supports coolant-through capability for high-speed or deep-hole operations.
This drill is suited for precision hole-making in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537L specification, making it appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual operations where tight diameter tolerances are required. The diameter tolerance of +0.006 to +0.021 mm supports consistent, repeatable bore sizing. Maximum drilling depth is 43.00 mm (1.693 inches). It is typically used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct application drill conforming to DIN 6537L, suitable for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting an 8 mm shank diameter across CNC and manual machining equipment.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and confirm runout is within acceptable limits, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that coolant pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle and toolholder. Do not use this drill in a hammer or impact-mode drilling application.
