The KENNAMETAL 1913575 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It features a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting applications. The bit has a 140-degree split point with web thinning for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. With an overall length of 3.228 inches and a 6 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter, it fits standard straight-shank toolholding systems. This drill is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses where tight tolerances and finish quality are required.
This drill bit is suited for use in ferrous metals, stainless steels, cast iron, and other hard materials where standard HSS tooling wears prematurely. The TiAlN coating supports dry or minimal-lubrication cutting at elevated speeds. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery to the cutting zone, making it a strong fit for deep-hole drilling on CNC equipment. It conforms to DIN 6537L specification, making it interchangeable with other DIN-standard jobber drills of the same diameter. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications.
Designed as an OEM-compatible replacement or direct-fit jobber drill for straight-shank toolholders accepting a 6 mm (0.2362 inch) shank diameter, conforming to DIN 6537L specification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists using collet chucks, drill chucks, or hydraulic toolholders rated for the shank diameter. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and drill diameter before starting the cut. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Do not use this bit in impact drivers or hand-held rotary tools not designed for carbide tooling, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to fracture under lateral or shock loading.
