Product Description

The KENNAMETAL 1913529 is a screw machine length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built from solid carbide and coated with a multilayer TiAlN finish, it operates at the elevated speeds and feeds required in modern CNC and automatic screw machine applications. The 7.50 mm diameter cutting edge features a 140-degree split point with web thinning for fast penetration and reduced thrust. At 3.1102 inches overall length, the stub-length geometry provides rigidity and minimizes deflection in short-reach drilling setups. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install and apply this bit in production settings.

This drill bit is designed for cutting cast iron and steel workpieces. Its straight cylindrical shank, measuring 8.00 mm in diameter and 1.4173 inches in length, seats cleanly in standard drill chucks and collet holders. The regular spiral flute with a 41.00 mm flute length promotes efficient chip evacuation during continuous drilling cycles. Coolant-through capability supports high-duty-cycle operations where internal coolant delivery is available, helping manage heat and extend tool life in ferrous material applications.

Key Features

  • Solid carbide construction for rigidity and wear resistance in ferrous materials
  • Multilayer TiAlN coating for heat resistance and extended tool life at high cutting speeds
  • 140-degree standard point angle with web thinning reduces entry thrust and improves centering
  • Coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery for high-cycle production drilling
  • Straight cylindrical shank fits standard chucks and collet systems without adaptation
  • Conforms to DIN 6537K specification for consistent dimensional performance

Compatibility

Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and automatic screw machines where a DIN 6537K screw machine length carbide drill is specified. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel. Compatible with tool holders accepting an 8.00 mm straight shank.

Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician with the spindle stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck before tightening to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 29.00 mm in a single pass without retracting to clear chips. When using coolant-through capability, confirm that coolant pressure and flow rate match the machine tool and holder requirements before running the spindle.
