The KENNAMETAL 1849301 is a VPGR331 carbide profiling and turning insert manufactured in the KC5010 grade with an AlTiN PVD coating. It features a parallelogram shape with a 35-degree included angle, a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, and an 8-degree relief angle. The 0.40 mm (0.0156 inch) corner radius suits fine to medium profiling work, while the PVD-applied AlTiN coating delivers heat resistance and extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. Two cutting edges are available per insert. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists use this insert in turning and profiling operations where consistent geometry and grade performance are required.
