The KENNAMETAL 1795802 is a carbide threading insert designed for Acme thread forms on both internal and external threading operations. Finished with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this insert offers strong wear resistance and thermal stability under demanding cutting conditions. It is a left-hand insert with a 4 TPI internal pitch and a 29-degree included angle, making it specific to Acme thread profiles. The insert sits in the Top Notch series and carries a KC5025 manufacturer grade. It is suited for machining operations where precise thread geometry and consistent tool life are required across production environments.
This insert is intended for use in CNC turning centers, manual lathes, and threading toolholders that accept Top Notch series inserts. It handles both internal and external Acme thread applications, making it versatile for shops producing threaded rods, lead screws, power transmission components, and similar parts. The left-hand orientation must be matched to a compatible left-hand toolholder. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators in metalworking and machining environments are the primary users of this insert.
Designed for use with Top Notch series threading toolholders that accept size 3 inserts with left-hand orientation. Compatible with Acme thread applications at 4 TPI for both internal and external thread types. Refer to KENNAMETAL toolholder documentation for confirmed holder compatibility before installation.
This insert is installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is isolated before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert seating tool specified by the toolholder manufacturer to avoid cracking the carbide. Verify that the toolholder hand matches the left-hand orientation of this insert before beginning any threading pass.
