The KENNAMETAL 1712556 is a laydown threading insert designed for cutting internal UN threads on CNC lathes and threading machines. Manufactured from solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, it carries the KC5025 grade designation and is configured for right-hand internal threading at 16 threads per inch. The insert measures 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) inscribed circle diameter and 0.1260 inches (3.04 mm) in thickness. The TiAlN finish improves wear resistance and tool life when threading steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Installation Notes
