The KENNAMETAL 1679780 is a laydown-style carbide threading insert designed for external thread-turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the LT16ERAG60CB geometry in the KC5025 grade, this insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that supports sustained cutting performance in a range of workpiece materials. The right-hand cutting orientation and partial profile 60-degree thread form make it suited to general external threading work across a wide range of thread pitches from 48 to 8 TPI (0.50 to 3.00 mm pitch).
