The KENNAMETAL 1519267 is a replaceable-tip drill body in the KSEM series, designed for high-productivity drilling in metal fabrication and machining applications. It accepts KSEM0813 inserts at an insert seat size 3, allowing tip replacement without discarding the drill body. The shank measures 25.4 mm in diameter with a straight-cylindrical profile, and the overall length is 260.35 mm (approximately 10.25 inches). Through-coolant capability is built in via a 3.50 mm coolant hole, supporting chip evacuation and heat control at depth. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tooling specialists on CNC machining centers and drill presses.
The 1519267 is suited for applications requiring precise hole diameters in the 20.64 to 21.14 mm range with a depth-to-diameter ratio of 7xD, yielding a maximum drill depth of 154 mm. This depth ratio makes it appropriate for deep-hole operations in structural components, mold and die work, and general metalworking where extended reach is needed. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The flute length of 180.13 mm supports chip clearance throughout the full depth of cut.
Designed for use with KSEM0813 series replaceable drill tip inserts at insert seat size 3. Part of the KSEM drill body series. Fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders sized for a 25.4 mm shank diameter.
This drill body should be installed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and clamping procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the drill body or tip insert. Verify coolant supply lines are clear and that through-coolant pressure is within the machine's specified range before running at depth. Inspect the insert seat for wear or debris before each tip change to maintain positional accuracy.
