The KENNAMETAL 1329735 is a replaceable-tip drill body in the KSEM series, designed for precise hole-making in metal cutting applications. It accepts KSEM0719 insert tips seated at insert seat size 2, allowing quick tip changes without removing the body from the spindle. The body features a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 19.05 mm in diameter and delivers a maximum drill depth of 100.08 mm at a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Through-coolant capability with 3.50 mm coolant holes supports high-pressure coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, extending insert life and improving chip evacuation. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this body in CNC machining centers and turning centers.
This drill body is suited for production drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where repeatable hole diameter and depth are critical. The replaceable-tip design reduces tooling cost per hole compared to solid carbide drills. The 5xD depth ratio covers the majority of general-purpose deep-hole drilling requirements in batch and high-volume manufacturing environments. The 19.05 mm straight-cylindrical shank interfaces with standard ER and hydraulic chuck toolholders commonly found in horizontal and vertical machining centers.
Compatible with KSEM0719 series replaceable carbide drill tips at insert seat size 2. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade body within the KENNAMETAL KSEM replaceable-tip drill system.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down the machine spindle and confirm zero energy state before changing the drill body or tip insert. Seat the KSEM0719 tip fully before torquing the clamping screw to the value specified in the KENNAMETAL KSEM tooling manual. Verify through-coolant connections are clear and that coolant pressure meets the machine specification before resuming cuts.
