The KENNAMETAL 1329707 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the KSEM series, engineered for precision hole-making in metal-cutting applications. It accepts KSEM1000 insert tips at seat size 5, allowing fast tip changes without removing the body from the spindle. The drill covers a diameter range of 25.4 to 25.9 mm and achieves a maximum drill depth of 130 mm, yielding a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Overall length is 241.3 mm. A straight-cylindrical shank at 25.4 mm diameter provides straightforward clamping in standard drill chucks or shrink-fit holders. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary installers.
This drill body is suited to medium-to-high volume drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where consistent hole quality and fast insert indexing reduce cycle time. The through-coolant design delivers cutting fluid directly to the tip via 4 mm coolant holes, making it effective in deep-hole passes where chip evacuation and heat control are critical. The 161.08 mm flute length supports chip clearance across the full depth range. Typical applications include automotive component machining, die and mold work, and general production drilling on CNC machining centers and lathes with live tooling.
Designed for use with KSEM1000 series replaceable drill tips at insert seat size 5. Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders, shrink-fit chucks, and hydraulic chucks accepting a 25.4 mm shank. Part of the KENNAMETAL KSEM series platform.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and KENNAMETAL KSEM assembly procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the drill body or swapping insert tips. Verify the coolant supply lines are clear and the through-coolant port is unobstructed before resuming cutting. Confirm shank runout and clamping torque meet the toolholder specification before starting a new operation.
