The KENNAMETAL 1329703 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for precision hole-making in metalworking applications. Built on the KSEM platform, this drill accepts KSEM0750 insert tips at an insert seat size 2, allowing the body to be reused while only the cutting tip is replaced. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 19.05 mm in diameter and 50.80 mm in length, with an overall length of 184.15 mm. Maximum drill depth reaches 100 mm, delivering a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Through-coolant capability is built in, with coolant holes measuring 3.50 mm in diameter to support chip evacuation and tool life in demanding cuts.
This drill body is suited for production machining environments where consistent bore quality and reduced tooling cost per hole are priorities. Typical applications include CNC machining centers performing through-hole and blind-hole operations in steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. The replaceable-tip design eliminates the need to regrind or replace the entire drill body, making it a practical choice for shops running medium-to-high volume part runs. The drill covers a diameter range of 19.05 mm to 19.55 mm, accommodating slight tip variations within the KSEM0750 insert family.
Compatible with KSEM0750 series replaceable drill tips at insert seat size 2. Designed as a KSEM series drill body for use in CNC machining centers and drilling units equipped with straight-cylindrical toolholders sized for a 19.05 mm shank diameter.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Confirm the toolholder bore matches the 19.05 mm straight-cylindrical shank before clamping. When replacing insert tips, follow the torque and seating procedure specified in the KENNAMETAL KSEM tooling documentation for seat size 2 inserts. Verify coolant passages are clear and that through-coolant pressure is within the range recommended by the machining center manufacturer before resuming operation.
