The KENNAMETAL 1235701 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it cuts a 0.1910 inch diameter hole using a 130-degree standard point angle with web thinning for improved center penetration. The 3-flute spiral design with a bright finish provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth bore walls. With an overall length of 3.23 inches and a 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is sized for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and automatic screw machines. It carries a K10 carbide material grade, placing it in the fine-grain, high-performance carbide class suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and cast iron.
This drill bit is appropriate for production environments where tight hole tolerances and consistent tool life are required. Its wire gauge sizing at No. 11 makes it a common choice when drilling clearance or tapping holes in sheet metal, aluminum, brass, and similar materials. The 1.69 inch flute length supports drilling to a maximum depth of 1.37 inches per pass. The regular spiral type and parallel web configuration make it well suited for both through-hole and blind-hole operations on light to medium-duty workpieces.
Designed as a jobber length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment set up for wire gauge No. 11 tooling.
This bit should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with carbide tooling handling and runout requirements. Always ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to side loading or impact. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Do not use this bit to hand-drill or in applications involving significant lateral force, as solid carbide does not flex and will fracture under bending loads.
