The KENNAMETAL 1199365 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 5.55 mm cutting diameter, a 130-degree standard point angle, and a three-flute right-hand spiral configuration with a web-thinned, tapered web for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust. The bright/uncoated finish and K10 carbide grade make it well suited for dry or coolant-assisted drilling in cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. Machinists and toolroom professionals rely on this geometry where a standard two-flute drill lacks the rigidity or feed capacity required.
This drill is intended for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other rotating-spindle equipment where a straight cylindrical shank can be held in a standard drill chuck or collet. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, and high-temperature alloys. With a flute length of 44 mm and a maximum drilling depth of 35 mm, it handles typical jobber-depth applications without requiring a deep-hole or extended-length tool. It ships in a quantity of one per package.
Designed as an OEM-specification jobber drill for use in rotating-spindle machine tools accepting a straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials listed by the manufacturer are cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet, drill chuck, or hydraulic chuck and verify runout before cutting. Always bring the spindle to a full stop before changing or inspecting tooling. Follow machine-tool manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and speed selection based on workpiece material and machine rigidity.
