The KENNAMETAL 1198564 is a straight-flute, solid carbide drill bit engineered for precision hole-making in cast iron and non-ferrous metals. It carries a 3.20 mm diameter (0.1260 inches decimal equivalent) and features a 130-degree split point that reduces thrust and helps the bit self-center on entry. A web-thinned geometry further lowers cutting resistance at the chisel edge. Coolant-through design with round coolant holes allows internal fluid delivery directly to the cutting zone, supporting chip evacuation and tool life in demanding production environments. Machining professionals and tool-room technicians working on CNC equipment are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit suits automated machining centers and CNC drilling operations targeting cast iron components and non-ferrous metal workpieces such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. With a maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm and a flute length of 28.00 mm, it is suited for through-hole and blind-hole applications in production-floor and job-shop settings. The 6.00 mm shank diameter allows compatibility with standard collets and toolholders commonly found on machining centers. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed as a KENNAMETAL Series B411 straight-flute carbide drill bit per DIN 6537L, intended for use in cast iron and non-ferrous metal drilling applications with machine spindles accepting a 6.00 mm shank.
This bit is intended for installation in CNC machining centers or drill presses by qualified machinists or tool-room technicians. Secure the shank fully in a collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before operation. Ensure spindle and coolant systems are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm to avoid flute packing and bit deflection.
