The KENNAMETAL 1191613 is a solid carbide straight-flute die drill bit engineered for precision hole-making in demanding industrial and toolroom applications. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter with a 130-degree split point and web-thinned geometry that reduces thrust force and improves centering at entry. Internal coolant-through capability via round coolant holes supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep drilling cycles. The bright finish preserves dimensional accuracy without adding coating thickness. This bit is designed for machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators who need consistent, repeatable hole quality in hard-to-machine materials.
The 1191613 is suited for drilling cast iron and non-ferrous metals in precision machining environments, including die and mold work, toolroom operations, and production CNC applications. The straight-flute design promotes chip control in short-chipping materials such as cast iron. With a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm (1.38 inches) and a 2-flute right-hand cutting configuration, it fits standard toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 6.00 mm shank. Overall length is 82.00 mm with a 44.00 mm flute length and 36.00 mm shank length.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, hydraulic toolholders, and shrink-fit holders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and non-ferrous metals per manufacturer specification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the bit from the toolholder. Verify coolant supply lines are open and delivering adequate flow before beginning a drilling cycle to protect the carbide substrate. Do not use this bit to hand-drill or in equipment that cannot maintain consistent RPM and feed rate, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to side-loading or impact.
