The KENNAMETAL 1163375 is a solid carbide profiling insert in the NPR505 series, designed for profiling and turning operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It carries the KC850 manufacturer grade with a CVD coating classification, though the finish on this insert is uncoated. The parallelogram-shaped insert features a negative rake angle of 10 degrees, a relief angle of 0 degrees, and an included angle of 55 degrees. With four cutting edges and a screw-based holding method, it delivers consistent edge utilization across a range of turning applications. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators working in production environments install this insert as part of a Top Notch toolholder system.
This insert is suited for profiling and turning operations in both production and job-shop environments. It is primarily applied to steel and stainless steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material codes P and M, covering material grades P30, P40, M30, and M40. The right-hand orientation and screw-held mounting make it compatible with standard Top Notch toolholding systems. The ISO code for this insert is KCGX110301R15, and it is also cross-referenced under standards NPR505 and KCGX110301R15.
Designed for use in Top Notch series toolholding systems. Compatible insert standards include NPR505 and KCGX110301R15. Intended for right-hand cutting applications on steel and stainless steel workpieces in ISO P and M material categories.
This insert is installed and replaced by qualified CNC machinists or tool room technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key for the insert clamping screw as specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the toolholder pocket and screw threads for wear or damage before seating a new insert to ensure proper clamping force and edge repeatability.
