Manufactured to the KENLOC series standard, this insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a negative rake angle and zero-degree relief angle, providing six usable cutting edges per insert. The KC730 grade carries a PVD-applied TiN coating engineered for high wear resistance with maintained toughness across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The insert measures 0.6496 decimal inches in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius, and is held in place by clamp or pin toolholders.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, and boring operations in medium machining conditions. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), superalloys, and titanium, with secondary compatibility across M and S material codes.
