The KENNAMETAL 1152692 is a right-hand indexable boring bar built to the E-SCLP-AP toolholder style and manufactured from solid carbide for rigidity and wear resistance in precision boring applications. With a minimum bore diameter of 23.62mm (0.930 inches) and a 3/4-inch (19.05mm) shank diameter, this bar handles tight-bore finish and semi-finish operations. The through-coolant design channels fluid directly to the cutting zone, extending insert life and improving chip evacuation in deep-bore conditions. It accepts CP-series inserts secured by screw clamping, with a positive rake angle of 5 degrees and a lead angle of -5 degrees for controlled chip formation and reduced cutting forces.
This boring bar is suited for CNC machining centers, horizontal boring mills, and manual lathes used in metalworking and precision machining environments. The 254mm (10.000-inch) overall length provides reach for moderate-depth bores while maintaining tool stability. The through-coolant capability makes it particularly well matched to stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and other difficult-to-machine materials where heat buildup at the cutting edge is a concern. A licensed machinist or toolroom technician is the typical end user.
Designed for use with CP-series E-SCLP-AP indexable inserts. Compatible with any machine tool spindle or turret accepting a 3/4-inch round shank boring bar.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all motion is locked out before mounting or removing the boring bar. Confirm shank clamping torque meets the machine tool manufacturer's specification for the bore bar diameter in use. Connect the through-coolant supply line to the machine's internal coolant circuit before initiating a cutting cycle; running dry will reduce insert life and may damage the solid carbide body.
