The KENNAMETAL 1112898 is a carbide threading insert in the NT4LK style, designed for both internal and external thread cutting operations. Running the KC730 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied Titanium Nitride finish, this insert handles partial profile 60-degree thread forms on a wide pitch range: 1.25 to 6.25 mm (4 to 20 TPI) external and 2.00 to 6.25 mm (4 to 12 TPI) internal. The left-hand orientation and K chipbreaker geometry make it a purpose-built tool for left-hand threading applications in turning centers and CNC lathes.
