The JET EQUIPMENT JT9-690234 is a full-featured vertical knee milling machine built for professional machine shops and toolrooms requiring precision metalworking capability. The machine is constructed with Meehanite castings and features a hardened and ground 10-inch by 50-inch worktable paired with Class 7 high-precision spindle bearings. A precision bored and honed milling head delivers consistent, quality cuts across a wide range of materials. The 3-axis Newall DP700 digital readout, combined with X, Y, and Z-axis powerfeeds and a power draw bar, reduces operator fatigue and improves repeatability on production runs. A licensed machinist or skilled toolroom operator typically performs installation and commissioning.
This mill is designed for use in industrial and commercial machine shop environments where tight tolerances and repeatable setups are required. The variable-speed spindle, three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, and one-shot lubrication system make it well-suited for both prototyping and repetitive production milling operations. Chrome lead screws on the X and Y axes, Turcite-B way material, and adjustable gibs throughout support long-term accuracy and smooth axis movement. An internal coolant tank is built into the base for use with an external coolant pump system, which is sold separately.
Designed as an OEM-configured vertical knee milling machine intended for industrial and commercial machine shop installation on a reinforced, level concrete floor with appropriate electrical service.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or machine tool technician familiar with OSHA machine tool safety requirements and the facility electrical codes governing three-phase motor connections. The machine must be fully powered down and locked out before any tooling changes or spindle service. Level the machine carefully on a solid foundation before operation. Note that a coolant pump is not included and must be sourced separately if coolant-assisted cutting is required.
