The JET EQUIPMENT JT9-414479 is a 10 x 14 inch horizontal mitering bandsaw built for cutting structural steel, pipe, and tubing in demanding shop environments. The saw features a swiveling head design that allows the cutting angle to change while the workpiece stays stationary, enabling accurate crosscuts and miters without repositioning material. The miter head swivels from 90 degrees to 45 degrees. A fully adjustable hydraulic downfeed with a separate on/off valve controls cut speed, and an automatic shut-off stops the machine when the cut is complete. Intended for installation and operation by experienced machinists and fabrication professionals.
This bandsaw is suited for metal fabrication shops, structural steel contractors, and industrial maintenance facilities handling repetitive miter and crosscut operations. The stationary-base, swivel-head configuration reduces setup time on production runs involving structural shapes, pipe, and tubing. The machine ships as a single unit and is designed for permanent or semi-permanent floor placement in a 230-volt single-phase service environment.
The JT9-414479 is the MBS-1014W-1 model in the JET horizontal mitering bandsaw line, designed for use on 230-volt single-phase power and sized to accept a 4/6 VT bi-metal blade for cutting structural materials up to the rated capacity.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician for the 230-volt single-phase electrical connection in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. The machine should be secured to a level floor surface capable of supporting the unit weight before initial operation. Disconnect and lock out all power before performing blade changes, guide adjustments, or coolant system service. Verify blade tension using the built-in gauge before each use.
