The JET EQUIPMENT JT9-414468-2 is a 9-inch by 16-inch horizontal bandsaw designed for cutting structural steel, tube stock, pipe, and solid bar in professional fabrication and metalworking shops. Rated at 1-1/2 HP and wired for single-phase 115/230V operation, this saw delivers consistent, repeatable cuts through a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A fully adjustable hydraulic downfeed with a dedicated on/off control valve gives operators precise control over feed rate, reducing blade wear and improving cut quality on varying stock sizes. Licensed electricians and metal fabricators are the primary installers and operators of this equipment.
This horizontal bandsaw is suited for industrial and commercial metalworking environments where accurate, repeatable cuts are required on structural shapes, bar stock, tubing, and pipe. The quick-positioning vise with fully adjustable jaws swivels to 45 degrees, enabling miter cuts without repositioning the workpiece. The built-in self-propelled blade brush extends blade life by clearing chips from the blade during operation. Coolant is distributed directly through the carbide blade guides, which use parallel double-row ball bearing support for consistent blade tracking and reduced deflection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit unit for professional horizontal bandsaw applications requiring a 9-inch by 16-inch capacity, 1-1/2 HP single-phase motor, and 115/230V electrical supply.
Installation and electrical connection should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for single-phase motor-driven machinery. Confirm the supply voltage matches the factory wiring configuration before energizing the unit. Disconnect and lock out power before performing any blade changes, guide adjustments, or maintenance. Secure the machine to a level concrete floor using appropriate anchor hardware before operating at full load.
