The JET 690202 is a JTM-4VS variable-speed turret mill equipped with an Acu-Rite 200S digital readout system, designed for precision machining in professional shop environments. Powered by a 3 HP, 3-phase motor rated for 230 volts or 460 volts, this mill delivers a spindle speed range of 60 to 4,200 RPM, providing the versatility needed for a wide range of milling, drilling, and boring operations. The integrated Acu-Rite 200S DRO gives machinists real-time axis position feedback, reducing setup time and improving repeatability on production and job-shop work. At 2,220 pounds, this is a substantial machine built for stationary installation on a prepared shop floor.
The JET 690202 is suited for metalworking shops, tool-and-die operations, maintenance facilities, and vocational training environments where a full-featured knee mill is required. The variable-speed head eliminates the need for manual belt changes across the full RPM range, making it practical for operators running diverse materials and tooling diameters. The 660-pound workable weight capacity on the table accommodates large workpieces and heavy fixturing setups common in production and repair machining.
Designed as an OEM-configured JTM-4VS turret mill platform with factory-installed Acu-Rite 200S DRO; intended for use with standard R8 tooling as typical for this mill class. Verify tooling taper compatibility before ordering accessories.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician and an experienced millwright or machinery rigger. At 2,220 pounds, proper rigging equipment and a reinforced concrete floor with adequate load-bearing capacity are required before moving or setting the machine. The 3-phase power connection must be wired to match the facility supply voltage, either 230 volts or 460 volts, in accordance with NEC requirements before energizing. Do not operate the mill until all guards are in place, the DRO is calibrated, and the machine is leveled and anchored per the manufacturer installation documentation.
