This machine is suited for toolroom, job-shop, and light production milling applications. The pre-installed DRO eliminates a separate field-installation step, making it ready for productive use after leveling, connection to three-phase power, and initial tramming. The ACU-RITE 200S DRO is integrated with the JET JVM-836-1 vertical milling machine. No additional DRO kit or separate scale installation is required for this configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or industrial electrician. The machine requires a proper electrical service connection — confirm voltage and phase requirements against local codes before wiring. Level the machine on a suitable concrete floor using a precision machinist level before tramming the head. Always disconnect and lock out power before performing any service, tooling changes, or adjustments to the spindle or quill assembly.
