The JET 690120 is a knee-type vertical milling machine supplied with an X-axis powerfeed unit already installed at the factory. The machine is built for precision metal removal in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The integrated powerfeed drives the table along the X-axis at a controlled, consistent feed rate, reducing operator fatigue during long cuts and improving surface finish repeatability. At 2,900 pounds, the 690120 is a full-size, heavy-duty mill intended for professional machining operations. It is installed and commissioned by qualified millwrights or experienced machine-tool technicians.
The JET 690120 JTM-1050 is suited for tool-and-die shops, maintenance departments, and general metalworking facilities that require a rigid, full-feature knee mill. The factory-installed X-axis powerfeed makes it ready for production use without additional setup time for feed unit mounting and wiring. Typical applications include face milling, end milling, drilling, and boring of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-configured vertical knee milling machine with factory-integrated X-axis powerfeed; compatible accessories and tooling should conform to the JTM-1050 spindle and table specifications as published by JET.
Installation of this milling machine requires a qualified millwright or experienced machine-tool technician using appropriate rigging equipment rated for loads exceeding 2,900 pounds. The machine must be leveled on a reinforced concrete floor using precision machinist levels before any cuts are taken. Electrical connection must be performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with NEC requirements for the specified voltage and phase. Do not attempt to move or position the machine without proper lifting fixtures attached to the designated lift points.
