The JERGENS 801056 is a T-handle ball grip quick-release pin designed for fast, tool-free pin retention in structural, jig, fixture, and assembly applications. The pin body is 3/8 inches in diameter with a 2.5-inch usable length and a 3.95-inch overall length. It is constructed from 17-4 stainless steel with a passivated finish for corrosion resistance, and the locking balls share the same 17-4 stainless steel construction with a Rockwell C40 hardness rating. The aluminum T-handle carries a black cast finish for a secure grip. This pin meets MS17985 and NAS1333-NAS1343 fastener standards and carries a breaking strength of 20,700 pounds.
This quick-release pin is suited for use in industrial, aerospace, military, and manufacturing environments where repeatable, rapid pin insertion and removal is required. Typical applications include fixture alignment, panel retention, machine guarding, jig assembly, and equipment mounting. The T-handle configuration makes it practical in installations where hand clearance is limited or where frequent cycling is expected. It is installed by maintenance technicians, machine builders, and assembly professionals across a wide range of industries.
Designed as a standard-dimension ball grip quick-release pin meeting MS17985 and NAS1333-NAS1343 specifications, making it a direct fit in applications dimensioned to a 3/8-inch pin diameter and 2.5-inch usable length per those standards.
Installation and removal require no tools - the ball detents release under axial force applied through the T-handle. Before servicing any fixture, jig, or equipment panel retained by this pin, de-energize or lock out the associated equipment per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that the hole diameter and usable length match the application requirements before installation. Do not exceed the rated breaking strength of 20,700 pounds in service.
