The JERGENS 49512 is a reverse mount modular fixturing receiver bushing designed for use with Ball Lock system tooling. It features a 25mm inside diameter and a 1.3763-inch outside diameter, with an overall height of 0.826 inches. The bushing installs from the underside of a base plate, allowing the clamping shank to engage from below - a configuration commonly used in tombstone, pallet, and modular fixture setups on CNC machining centers. This component is a precision-ground interface element that locates and locks workholding fixtures repeatably without manual clamps. Machinists and tooling engineers rely on it to achieve consistent, repeatable fixture changes on production floors.
The 49512 is suited for use in modular fixturing applications where quick-change workholding is required. The reverse mount orientation is appropriate for setups where plate access from the top is restricted or where the design calls for a flush or below-surface receiver. The bushing accommodates a 25mm clamp shank diameter and requires a minimum base plate thickness of 1 inch. It is commonly installed in horizontal and vertical machining center fixtures, tombstone setups, and custom modular fixture plates used in medium-to-high-volume production environments.
Designed for use with Ball Lock system compatible tooling, accommodating a 25mm clamp shank diameter. Suitable for installation in base plates with a minimum thickness of 1 inch.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or tooling engineer. Power down and de-energize the machine before installing or removing receiver bushings from a fixture plate. Ensure the receiver pocket in the base plate is clean and dimensionally correct before pressing or threading the bushing into place. Consult the Ball Lock system manufacturer documentation for torque and retention specifications applicable to your specific plate and shank configuration.
