The JERGENS 49507 is a bolt-in recessed modular fixturing receiver bushing designed for use with Ball Lock quick-change workholding systems. It features a 16mm inside diameter and a 1.437-inch outside diameter, with an overall height of 0.469 inches. The bushing mounts via three bolts in a recessed configuration and is engineered to accept standard 16mm Ball Lock clamp shanks. It is installed by machinists and tooling engineers as a permanent receiver component in modular fixture base plates used on machining centers and manual mills.
This receiver bushing is suited for production machining environments where repeatable, rapid fixture changeovers are required. It installs into base plates with a minimum thickness of 0.75 inches, making it appropriate for dedicated fixture plates, tombstones, and sub-plates used in horizontal and vertical machining setups. The bolt-in recessed mount style keeps the bushing flush or below the base plate surface, reducing interference with workpieces and pallets.
Compatible with Ball Lock modular fixturing systems using a 16mm clamp shank diameter. Intended for installation in base plates, fixture plates, and tombstones meeting the minimum 0.75-inch thickness requirement.
Installation is performed by tooling engineers or machinists using standard drill, bore, and tap operations to prepare the base plate to the required hole pattern. Confirm the base plate meets the 0.75-inch minimum thickness before machining receiver pockets. Secure all three mounting bolts evenly to prevent bushing tilt, which can affect repeatability. Verify the recessed pocket depth matches the bushing height specification before final assembly.
