The JERGENS 23417 is a safety engineered center pull hoist ring designed for bolt-on mounting to machinery, fixtures, and fabricated components that require a secure, swivel-capable lift point. Built from 4140 alloy steel with a black oxide finish, it carries a 5,000 lb working load limit and is rated to a CE standard. The ring stands 4.78 inches in height with an external width of 3.52 inches and an internal width of 1.5 inches. It accepts a 3/4-10 thread fastener for single-hole bolt-on installation. Rigging professionals and millwrights rely on this type of hoist ring for controlled overhead lifting where load angle and center-pull alignment are critical to safe operation.
The 23417 is suited for industrial lifting applications in manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance environments. Its center pull design allows the ring to swivel and pivot under load, reducing side-loading stress on the mounting bolt and the lifted component. It is appropriate for use on machine tools, dies, molds, heavy assemblies, and structural weldments where a permanent or semi-permanent lift point is required. The bolt-on configuration makes it adaptable to a wide range of workpieces without requiring welded attachment.
Designed as a bolt-on hoist ring replacement or new installation for machinery, dies, molds, and fabricated assemblies requiring a 3/4-10 threaded single-hole mount point with a 5,000 lb working load limit.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or millwright familiar with overhead lifting hardware and applicable ASME B30 standards. Before installing, verify the base material thread condition and ensure the mounting surface can support the rated working load. The fastener must be torqued to 100 foot-pounds using a calibrated torque wrench. Never exceed the rated working load limit, and inspect the hoist ring for wear, deformation, or corrosion before each use.
