The JASON INDUSTRIAL B36 5L390 is a B/5L-section V-belt built for light-duty power transmission applications. Constructed from natural rubber, SBR, and a polyester cord reinforcement, this belt delivers reliable torque transfer in drives rated under 1 horsepower. The ARA-MAX cord construction increases tensile strength and reduces the frequency of belt take-ups during service. At 39 inches outside length, 21/32 inches top width, and 13/32 inches thick, it fits standard B-section sheaves and 5L-groove pulleys. The UniMatch construction allows this belt to run interchangeably in both B-section and 5L-section drives, reducing the number of belt SKUs a technician needs to stock.
This belt is suited for residential and light commercial applications where fractional horsepower drives are common. Typical installations include HVAC blower drives, agricultural equipment, small compressors, fans, and general machinery with B-section or 5L-section sheaves. It is installed by HVAC technicians, equipment mechanics, and maintenance professionals who service belt-driven blower assemblies and mechanical equipment. The black rubber construction resists oil splash and normal shop environments encountered in these settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement V-belt for B-section and 5L-section belt drives in light-duty power transmission applications requiring a 36-inch inside circumference belt.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician or mechanic with the drive system fully de-energized and locked out before belt removal or installation. Never pry or roll a V-belt onto a sheave under tension; release belt tension fully using the drive adjustment mechanism before seating the belt, then re-tension to the equipment manufacturer's specification. Inspect sheave grooves for wear or misalignment before installing a replacement belt, as worn grooves accelerate belt wear. Follow OSHA lockout/tagout procedures and applicable machinery guarding requirements when servicing belt drives.
