The JACOBS JCM3659P is a K7 drill chuck key designed for use with JACOBS 7 Series drill chucks. It features a 7/32 inch (0.220 inch decimal) pilot diameter, which corresponds to 5.55 millimeters. The key engages the chuck body to tighten or loosen the jaws during bit changes. Machined to OEM specifications, it provides a secure, properly fitted interface with the chuck socket, reducing slippage and wear during repeated use. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and general trades professionals routinely keep chuck keys on hand as standard shop and field tooling.
This chuck key is suited for bench drill presses, floor-standing drill presses, and handheld drill equipment that accept the K7 key pattern with a 7/32 inch pilot. It is commonly used in manufacturing, fabrication, HVAC ductwork shops, plumbing shops, and electrical panel rooms where keyed drill chucks remain in regular service. The JCM3659P is sold individually and is a direct-fit replacement for worn or lost original equipment chuck keys on JACOBS 7 Series chucks.
Designed for use with JACOBS 7 Series drill chucks requiring a K7 key with a 7/32 inch pilot diameter. Verify your chuck key number and pilot diameter against your existing hardware before ordering.
Insert the pilot into the chuck pilot hole and engage the bevel gear before rotating to tighten or loosen chuck jaws. Always remove the chuck key from the chuck before powering on any drill press or rotary equipment. No tools beyond the key itself are required for standard bit changes. Inspect the pilot and gear teeth periodically for wear and replace the key if rounding or deformation is observed.
