Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance mechanics. Before installing or removing the arbor, power down the machine and confirm the spindle is fully stopped. Clean both the 3MT shank and the spindle bore with a lint-free cloth to remove chips, oil, and debris - contamination on taper surfaces causes runout and premature loosening. Drive the arbor firmly into the spindle bore by hand or with a soft-faced mallet; use a drift and knockout slot to remove it. Never use a steel hammer directly on the arbor or chuck body.
