The JACOBS 30630 is a replacement lead screw designed for use with keyless precision drill chucks. The lead screw is the threaded drive component that advances and retracts the jaws inside the chuck body, maintaining accurate jaw movement and grip. This part is specific to the Chuck 130 model lineup and is sourced as an OEM-style replacement to restore proper function to a worn or damaged chuck. Installation is performed by tool repair technicians, machinists, or maintenance professionals working on drill press or hand drill equipment.
This lead screw is intended for use in keyless precision drill chuck assemblies where the original lead screw has worn, stripped, or failed. Keyless precision chucks are commonly found on benchtop drill presses, CNC drilling equipment, and variable-speed hand drills used in light manufacturing, metalworking, and woodworking applications. Replacing the lead screw rather than the entire chuck assembly can restore accurate jaw movement at a lower service cost.
Compatible with JACOBS Chuck Number 130 keyless precision drill chucks. Model number reference: L-130. Not intended for keyed chuck assemblies or other chuck model numbers.
Chuck lead screw replacement should be performed by a qualified tool repair technician or machinist familiar with drill chuck disassembly. Disconnect and de-energize the tool or machine before beginning any chuck service. Proper chuck disassembly tools, including a chuck removal key and soft-jaw vise, are typically required to avoid damaging the chuck body or jaws during service.
